Guy H. Buchanan, 85, of Milford, Conn., formerly of Spotsylvania Co., died Sunday, April 24, at a hospital in Milford.

- Mr. Buchanan, born in Spotsylvania, had retired as a buildings and grounds superintendent at Boston University, where he worked for seven years.

- Survivors include a son, Colin R. Buchanan of Milford, Conn.; a daughter, Kathaleen Poirier of Watertown, Mo.; a sister, Mary Constantine of Minneapolis, N. C.; and three grand-children.

- A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Shady Grove United Methodist Church in Spotsylvania with burial in the church cemetery.

- The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Red Cross, Milford Chapter, 1 Plymouth Place, Milford, Conn. 06460.
